Only Fools and Horses - The 80s Specials [Blu-ray]
About this deal
If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. There were huge problems in the 60s when they simply wiped all the tapes of so many classic TV shows. And as said, use the original versions: for example, Miami Twice does not work with a studio audience. Whether you're looking for a specific series/season, or a complete DVD box set collection, then we can do the hard work for you! If anyone know of where this reclip can be found then please let us know, or any other for that matter.
The cut scene that frustrates me the most is the nightclub scene in ‘jolly boys outing’ where the female singer is singing: ‘just the way you are’. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).Finally, in 'The Jolly Boys' Outing' (1989) Del, Rodney, Uncle Albert, Trigger (Roger Lloyd-Pack) and Boycie embark on their annual outing to Margate, but end up stranded when their coach explodes. Having been to some of the BBC sitcoms filming, i’m well aware that there is miles of footage that never made it to the final aired version.

It looks betterer than any extant video master would’ve done but boy I wish they’d gone easier on the DNR. We previously used to have some sections where we listed box sets by the year they were released, which you can still look through: 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016. Several stars iv’e spoken to have confirmed the meomries of footage that never made it to the final cut. Wow, it’s like day and night compared to everything else that’s out there such as dvd and streaming. If they have the first generation tapes that were made before editing, that would be an improvement. We would only see Chritmas Tree’s, Licensed to Drill, To Hull and Back and Miami Twice on Blu-ray as these episodes were shot on film. In 'To Hull and Back' (1985) Del (Jason) and Rodney (Lyndhurst) think they've come up trumps when they're offered the chance to travel to Amsterdam and collect some diamonds on behalf of Boycie (John Challis).
Uncle Albert takes to the seas once more in ‘To Hull and Back’, Del Boy makes a lasting impression when he joins a clay pigeon shoot in ‘A Royal Flush, the highs and lows of romance are revealed in ‘Dates’, and ‘The Jolly Boys’ Outing’ to Margate sees the entire Peckham faithful get into all sorts of trouble. I think (but really want to be wrong) that this Only Fools Blu ray set will be a money making excercise with quality no better than the original VHS or DVD releases, because they will be using the same masters! Ah well, at least it’s not Get Back levels of ****ery, that makes this look like a purely filmic delight in comparison. I think it needs to be brought out on Blu-ray because just like the old videos the DVD’s are dying out. Also would like the quality to be better some of the episodes i had on VHS were better than on the dvd.
In 'A Royal Flush' (1986) when Rodney begins dating the Duke of Mallbrey's daughter (Sarah Duncan), Del is on hand with tickets to the opera - the only problem is that Del insists on accompanying them! Able to take an idea seamlessly from thought to screen and beyond, its activities span content financing, development, production, sales, branded services, and ancillaries across both its own productions, and programmes and formats made by high-quality UK independents. Would love it if they released these on blu ray these would fly of the shelves as many people have said so BBC dont be plonkers all your life and get these released…luvly jubbly.
